The Miller pattern blade is the most popular of the straight blade styles.
This is especially true for paediatric use where the extended curve at the tip of the blade facilitates easy
anterior lifting of the epiglottis which is comparatively larger and harder to control than in an adult patient.
The straight design also allows a more direct view of the larynx, which can be of great benefit in case of
difficult intubation.
